Leadership and Management roles exist in the following areas of Converga:
Senior Management Group (SMG) – Including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a team of direct reports, the SMG is responsible for the strategic direction of Converga.
Management – There are various layers of middle Management within Converga such as Account and Customer Service Managers.
Team Leaders – If your goal is to become a Team Leader, Converga offers the perfect starting point. We have a Leadership Development Program (LEAP) specifically designed for you which will provide you with the skills and knowledge to become a successful leader.
Converga Journey: Joined Converga in 1996 straight out of high school. He started as a mail team member at one of our major accounts and quickly progressed to a Team Leader and then to a Customer Service Manager. He is now managing two of Converga’s blue chips accounts.
How has Converga grown in your time? Converga focuses on its employees, provides training and development opportunities and offers great new incentives on rewards and recognition whilst ensuring we continue to celebrate success as one team.
What does Converga offer a new employee? A wide range of career opportunities to build skills and experiences to develop a great platform to kick start their career.
How has Converga developed you? A number of internal and external training courses and exposure to Converga products and services over the years has helped me develop my skills and progress within the organisation.
Converga Journey: I started with Converga in 2005. My first role was Service Delivery Manager. Being part of such a strong team allowed me to learn and appreciate the value of service excellence and good team and client relationships.
In 2007 I took up the opportunity to manage several state wide contracts. These contracts provided me further insight into our range of services as well as introducing me to our corporate client structures and requirements.
I continue to learn and develop through our continued growth as an organisation, now with a greater awareness of our business goals and the continued support of a fantastic team.
What do you like the most about working for Converga? The variety that my role offers – people, contracts, projects, finance, technology – it is great to have a touch point into all areas of the business. Converga’s investment in growing and developing its people, as well as improving services and adding value back into the community.
What has been your greatest success during your time at Converga? Hmm… that’s a tough one. Overcoming client challenges, successful project
deliveries, and some great relationships would top the list.
How has Converga developed you? Empowerment! Exposure to all areas of the business has provided me with a greater understanding of general management practices and business operations and the impacts of actions and decisions on our teams and business areas.
We offer a wide range of record and information management solutions that are designed to manage integrity and risk compliance issues through best practice procedures and effective, efficient management in both Government and corporate sectors.
Our teams operate in complex and dynamic environments requiring detailed awareness of the Corporations Act and/or industry specific legislation and regulations. Due to our unique partnerships within the Government and corporate sectors, we are responsible for addressing accountability and information security across our teams and therefore inspiring our teams and clients about the level of care which we take is a key factor in our role.
Our teams are offered on-the-job training, support, and the chance to complete a qualification in Certificate IV in Recordkeeping to recognise their skills and create secure pathways within the Record Management field.
Converga Journey: I had been working for the Public Service for around 19 years & needed a new challenge. I noticed one of Converga’s job advertisements for Records Management staff on Seek. Before applying, I did some research on Converga and spoke to a few people that had worked for Converga. And I believed that Converga would give me the challenge that I was looking for and if I was successful, I would be able to take a lot of records knowledge, as well as further my career in the Records Management industry.
What do you like the most about working for Converga? There are a lot of things that I like about working for Converga – Work/life balance, management are very supportive & accommodating of this. Converga make all staff feel empowered and are encouraged to provide their input and all employees are kept up to date with current issues. Being able to show clients that we aim to inspire excellence.
What has been your greatest success during your time at Converga? My greatest achievement would be in training new and current staff in correct records management procedures and encouraging them to develop their skills & knowledge. Also, being promoted to a management position at the site.
What could Converga offer a new employee? Converga can offer a new employee a varied career path where they can learn all aspects of what Converga specialises in.
Converga Journey: Prior to starting work at Converga I was in the hospitality sector. I began with Converga in 2005 as a data entry operator, after a few months I was ask to join the Helpdesk team. This involved answering calls, emails and faxes as well as continuing the data entry function.
In 2007, I was promoted to a Team Leader and with guidance from my manager I was supported and successfully grew into this role. At this time I was successfully leading a team of 20-25 people.
Having limited knowledge of Records Management did not prevent me from taking up the opportunity presented in 2009 as Assistant National Records Manager. This has been an excellent challenge for me and with the support of my manager has helped me grow extensively. I currently manage 20 team members across 6 states in Australia.
How has Converga grown in your time? There have been a huge amount of changes and improvements since the day I started. The most influential ones being the rewards and recognition program, Converga now shows its recognition of our hard work and effort and the second is the strong leadership who are approachable and encouraging.
What opportunities has Converga offered you during your employment? Converga has provided me with the opportunity to grow from a Data Entry Operator to a Team Leader to an Assistant National Manager to a National Manager where at 26 years of age and with the support and care from the Converga team I continue to grow.
What could Converga offer a new employee? The opportunity to gain skills across a number of areas within the private and the public sector. The support required to obtain knowledge and further your career.
Front of House
Everyday our Front of House experts are involved in problem solving, display integrity, being proactive, effective communication and maintaining a fast paced service operation, whether we are welcoming a guest, organising a major event or servicing a meeting room – our sound understanding of customer service and drive for excellence keeps us always delivering on our promises and going that extra mile!
Converga Journey: It began just over a year ago, I was previously in the hotel industry and was looking for a more corporate environment and applied for a Front of House role. As I did not have experience within the corporate field, Converga provided me with complete training and gave me support in my new role.
Due to this training I quickly settled into the job and began to be recognised for the excellent service I provide and my aspirations to further my career in the field. Later I was offered a position to enter the leadership development training (LEAP), which would enable me to undertake study combined with on the job training with the end resulting in completion of the Certificate IV in Frontline Management qualification. Several months after commencing this training course my skills, knowledge and thirst for more responsibility and challenges were once again acknowledged and I was given the opportunity to step up even further and take on the Team Leader position.
I still enjoy my role and will be finishing my Certificate IV in Frontline Management very soon. I look forward to the next lot of possibilities and challenges that awaits me with Converga.

Converga Journey: During my four years with Converga, I first started in production area at the Sydney Technology Centre and worked at offsite mailrooms. After completion of my masters degree, I got a chance to prove my qualification skills, moved into the Finance team and now I look after Accounts Payable for Converga.

What opportunities has Converga offered you during your employment? During my journey, Converga gave me an opportunity to enhance my career in different ways from cross training to learning all aspects of finance, specialised finance training, Excel training and the opportunity to be exposed to end to end accounting functions.
As part of our mailroom teams, your main focus is to provide excellence through exceptional customer service and integrity through the distribution of mail and other items. This will include receiving, sorting and distributing mail items according to the individual needs and core business activity of each client. Efficient operations in this area, ensures a positive impact and inspires professional performance of our clients.
Converga mailroom roles are challenging and rewarding and can offer a diverse range of career pathways, experiences, and career development training. Mailroom roles include a range of entry level to experienced positions, including management level.
Our mailroom teams care about the end results and recognised through celebration. As part of the Converga Mailroom team your contribution is essential to the success of the wider Converga team and our clients.
Converga Journey: I joined Converga in July 2007 as a part timer whilst studying. Once I finished my degree I took up the challenge to work full time as a Team Leader. My first success as Team Leader came within two months when our team was nominated for team of the month.
What attracted you to Converga? Converga is a leading organisation that provides services and technology solutions to government organisations and blue chip companies. Converga has provided me a unique opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of clients.
What are some of the improvements you have seen in your time at Converga? Converga utilises leading edge technology and implements it across the business where possible to ensure we are providing our clients with innovative solutions. Converga were first in Australia to achieve Gold partner status with the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change & Water’s (DECCW) Sustainability Advantage Program.
What has been your greatest success during your time at Converga? With everyone’s hard work and appreciation our team was awarded ‘Team of the month’.
Converga Team Members often work in a number of different areas of the Technology Centre presenting with new opportunities and challenges. Team Members are supported by a strong leadership team, as well as working cooperatively with other business areas, such as IT Service Delivery, Sales and the Senior Management Team. Our aim is to deliver excellence, integrity and care in our solutions and services through innovation and collaboration.
The Technology Centres are a fun and friendly place to work as we actively celebrate our success. We empower everyone to take ownership and make decisions. The diversity of our Technology Centre Teams is one of our real strengths and we offer flexible working arrangements from casual to full time positions.
Converga Journey: Four years ago, I started as a data entry team member. This role gave me the chance to grow my skills and learn about the quality control process. An opportunity arose where I moved into a Team Leader role, and I am now responsible for managing my team’s work to meet daily targets, provide web helpdesk support to external customers, maintain work instructions, deliver training for various projects, contribute to project development and administration tasks.
What do you like the most about working for Converga? The people that I work with everyday! It’s a great team environment with strong working relationships.
What has been your greatest success during your time at Converga? My two greatest achievements would be the opportunity to go to Manila to train our Manila team members – this experience really demonstrated how much Converga has grown since I started at Converga. And secondly, being rewarded as Employee of the Month and Employee of the Quarter, these rewards have given me greater motivation and job satisfaction.
How has Converga developed you? Converga has cared and supported a lot of my personal development. Since the first time I worked at Converga, I have been given more responsibilities in my role. Also, I’ve been given the opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Frontline Management through Converga leadership development program (LEAP) to further develop my leadership and management skills.
With the development of digital mail and accounts payable solutions, capture has grown from a base of highly automated, high volume form solutions. The capture environment is about consistently displaying excellence and integrity through the implementation of innovative solutions to our clients.
Through the use of leading industry products the Capture space at Converga allows you to have total ownership and have the ability to inspire by bringing solutions to life whilst offering a unique learning environment and hands on experience. Our capture roles exist in our technology centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Manila.
Converga Journey: I started working at Converga in 2007, and have had the opportunity to work across a number of teams from the scanning / mailroom team to the production team. And now, I am working in the optimisation team as a Junior Capture Specialist.

How has Converga grown in your time? The successes that Converga has achieved, has allowed Converga to grow exponentially into the International market into the Philippines and across to the US market in near future.
