Australian company Converga forges strategic alliance with the United State’s Prodagio Software to offer an off-the-shelf Paperless Accounts Payable Solution to Australian businesses
Converga Pty Ltd (“Converga”) and Prodagio Software (“Prodagio”) have signed a strategic alliance to sell and market an off-the-shelf Paperless Accounts Payable solution throughout Australia, with Converga’s initial Prodagio powered client’s going live in Q1 2010.
The Paperless Accounts Payable (PAP) solution, powered by Prodagio, is unique in Australia in that it offers businesses an off-the-shelf solution for automating their Accounts Payable functions. The Software-as-a-Service model is accessed securely online, there is no long implementation process and workflows are handled internally, rather than being customised by the supplier.
Normally the realm of businesses processing in excess of 100,000 invoices per year, the Prodagio solution gives businesses with any number of invoices the chance to take advantage of the tremendous benefits of digital invoicing, without the heavy investment of purchasing any hardware or software. Converga, who already handle more invoices than any other company in Australia, will offer the ability for its client’s to have their invoices ingested via Converga Technology Centres located across Australia.
Converga’s CEO, Mr. Brian Roberts said about the partnership, “We feel there is a large potential in the Australian market for this type of solution. In the past it would be almost impossible for a business processing say, 20,000 invoices per year, to even consider going digital, the setup costs associated were just too great. With our partnership with Prodagio we are now able to offer a solution for all businesses. It’s something we’ve been looking to offer our market for awhile now so we’re really excited about it.”
“The combination of Prodagio EIPP technology, proven with Global 1000 companies, and Converga’s innovative business and technical expertise will result in compelling customer value - faster ROI, flexibility and lower transactional cost,” added Mara Henderson, President of Prodagio Software.
